Research on the practice of micro-project teaching under the concept of OBE-a case study of Surgical Nursing
Objective To explore the practical effect of micro-project teaching under the concept of outcome-based education(OBE)in Surgical Nursing courses. Methods Eight natural classes of nursing students in grade 2020 were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into experimental group(class 1,3,5,7,a total of 175 students)and control group(class 2,4,6,8,a total of 170 students). The experimental group adopted the micro-project teaching mode under the OBE concept, and the control group adopted the traditional teaching mode. After the end of the course, the final examination results, teaching effect and critical thinking ability of the two groups were compared. Results The case analysis, theoretical knowledge scores and total score in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of stimulating learning initiative, increasing memory, improving self-learning ability, exercising language expression ability and cultivating team assistance ability in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of analysis ability,self-confidence of critical thinking, curiosity, cognitive maturity, open thinking,truth-seeking and systematic ability in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Under the concept of OBE,micro-project teaching can improve students'academic performance and critical thinking ability in Surgical Nursing, enhance the overall learning effect, and provide empirical, empirical support and strategic reference for classroom teaching of nursing specialty in vocational schools.
