Objective To investigate the effects of TEAS on gastric electrical activity in patients with functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods A total of 60 FD patients admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Hefei from April 2022 to February 2024 were selected and divided into single treatment group(30 cases)and combined treatment group(30 cases)with percutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation combined with trimebutin)by random number table. The electrogastrogram(EGG)of the two groups were detected on fasting and postprandial respectively. The main parameters of electrogastrogram were compared and analyzed. At the same time, the effect of symptom improvement in 2 groups af-ter treatment was studied. Results Compared with the single treatment group, the proportion of normal slow wave be-fore and after meals was higher in the combined treatment group(P<0.001),the coefficient of postprandial disturb-ance was lower in the combined treatment group(P<0.001),the main frequency before and after meals was higher in the combined treatment group(P<0.001),and the power before and after meals was higher in the combined treatment group(P<0.001).Symptom severity scores in both groups decreased after treatment, and clinical symptom severity scores in the combined treatment group were lower, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclu-sions Percutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation can regulate gastrointestinal motility, improve gastric myoelectric ac-tivity and gastric emptying in FD patients, and thus improve clinical symptoms in FD patients.
