Diagnostic value of ultrasound Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting and Data System classification combined with serum carbohydrate antigen 125 and human epididymis protein 4 for ovarian-adnexal masses
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting and Data System(O-RADS)combined with serum carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)and human epididymis protein 4(HE4)for ovari-an-adnexal masses. Methods A total of 90 cases with ovarian-adnexal masses admitted to the Affiliated Bozhou Hospi-tal of Anhui Medical University(the People's Hospital of Bozhou)were retrospectively analyzed and pathologically diag-nosed.Taking the pathological results as the gold standard, the detection rates of malignant ovarian-adnexal masses were analyzed by ultrasound O-RADS classification, serum CA125 and HE4.The diagnostic efficacy of O-RADS classifica-tion,serum CA125,HE4,and the combination of the three on the diagnosis of ovarian-adnexal masses was analyzed through ROC curve. Results Among 90 cases with ovarian-adnexal masses,61 were benign and 29 were malignant. The detection rates of malignant masses with O-RADS 2,3,4,5 classifications increased sequentially, with the statistically significant differences compared with benign masses(P<0.001).The detection rates of malignant masses in serum CA125 and HE4 were 72.00%and 70.37%,respectively,with the statistically significant differences compared with be-nign masses(all P<0.001).The area under the curve(AUC)of O-RADS classification, serum CA1 25,HE4,and the joint diagnosis of ovarian-adnexal masses was 0.783,0.753,0.762,and 0.909,respectively.The combination of the three was higher than any one of the individual diagnostic techniques(all P<0.05).Conclusions Ultrasound O-RADS classification combined with CA125,HE4 can improve the diagnostic efficiency of ovarian-adnexal masses.
