Elderly inpatients have poor oral health-related quality of life,and the severity of oral conditions is significantly higher than that of the elderly in community and nursing homes.Effective clinical intervention can promote the oral health of elderly inpatients,reduce the occurrence of complications such as pneumonia,and improve disease re-covery in elderly.In this article,we review the current status of oral health-related quality of life in elderly inpatients,the evaluation tools and factors affecting the quality of life,as well as the intervention to improve the quality of life related to the oral health of the elderly,with the aim of improving the attention of medical staff to the quality of life in elderly inpa-tients,and providing reference for the formulation of oral health management in elderly inpatients in the future.
