Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic,systemic autoimmune disease,the most obvious clinical manifestation of joints is swelling and pain.RA often recurs and gradually worsens,ultimately leading to structure damage of joints,disability,and may affect multiple organs and systems throughout the body,causing patients to suffer physical and mental suffering,as well as heavy economic and medical burdens not only for patients and their families,but for the society.Standardized treatment is a fundamental principle in chronic disease management and should be integrated throughout the diagnosis and treatment of RA.In China,RA has been characterized by a large number of patients,a pro-longed disease course,moderate to severe occurrence,and the co-occurrence of multiple diseases.Since the management of RA is a long-term task,thus,to improve community management of RA and its risk factors,as well as the full-cycle prevention and control system,an innovative mechanism of medicine and prevention integration and coordination is nec-essary.We should substantially promote the high-quality development of a full-time collaborative family doctor team and strengthen the cultivation of community compound talents with public health capabilities and sub expertise in rheumatolo-gy,which will remarkably promote the quality and efficiency of RA management in China.
