Objective To study the verbal fluency of patients with gastric cancer with subjective cognitive de-cline(SCD),and to provide a reference for early intervention of mild cognitive impairmen. Methods A total of 46 gastric cancer patients with subjective cognitive decline were recruited as SCD group and 50 patients with normal memory as con-trol group.Verbal Fluency Test(VFT)was performed in both groups.VFT test included speech and semantic fluency test.In addition to the total score, the number of clustering and conversion exponents in semantic fluency were also examined. Results Gastric c-ancer patients with SCD generated fewer clusters in vegeta getables and animals category(t=-2.705,P=0.008;t=-9.780,P<0.001).They perfo-rmed less switches in vegetables categor(t=-10.266,P<0.001).There was no difference in other scores between the two groups. Conclusions In gastric cancer patients with SCD,the quantitative VFT has good sensitivity and can predict the feasibility of semantic fluency test in mild cognitive impairment.
