Objective By analyzing PSG(Polysomnography)and upper airway CT to obtain anatomical factors that affect the severity of Obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome OSAHS(Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syn-drome).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted in 78 patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OS-AHS)who visited the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China from January 2022 to November 2023.The correlation between PSG and upper airway CT of OSAHS patients was analyzed. Results The fol-lowing points were significantly correlated:the body mass index(BMI)and soft palate diameter(r=0.359,P<0.05);the apnea/hypopnea index(AHI)and soft palate diameter(r=0.258,P<0.05);the average blood oxygen saturation(MSaO2%)and soft palate length(r=-0.330,P<0.05);the lowest blood oxygen saturation(LSaO2%)and the airway area at the level of the free edge of the epiglottis(r=0.266,P<0.05);the cumulative time with oxygen satura-tion less than 90%(CT90)and soft palate length(r=0.271,P<0.05);CT90 and soft palate diameter(r=0.269,P<0.05).Conclusions The severity of OSAHS is mainly affected by the diameter and length of the soft palate, and the treatment of the soft palate is the key to surgical treatment.
