Objective To explore the effects of cyclobenzaprine and propofol in painless gastroscopy examina-tion in the elderly. Methods The clinical data of 193 elderly patients with painless gastroscopy examination in Longquan People's Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were retrospectively collected, and they were divided into the control group(94 cases)and the experimental group(99 cases),the control group was anesthetized by giving propofol lactic injection and the experimental group was anesthetized by giving cypropofol injection. The anesthesia-relat-ed indexes, blood pressure and the occurrence of adverse reactions after entering the room(T0),after the completion of anesthesia induction(T1),2 min after entering the mirror(T2),and at the time of discharging from the room(T3)were compared between the two groups. Results The pain visual analog scale(VAS)score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);there was no difference in the anesthesia induction time, insertion time, gastroscopy time, orientation recovery time, awakening time, and sedation success rate between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no difference in the number of atropine use, atropine dosage, ephedrine use, ephedrine dosage in the experimental group compared with the control group(P>0.05).Compared with T0,diastolic blood pressure(DBP),systolic blood pressure(SBP),and mean arterial pressure(MAP)showed a trend of gradual decrease in both groups from T,to T3,and DBP,SBP,and MAP were lower than those in the control group from T,to T3 in the test group(P<0.05).During the observation period, the incidence of pain and suction inhibition in the experimental group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared to propofol, cyclosporine has stable blood pressure, reduced pain, and lower incidence of respiratory depression in elderly patients undergoing painless gastroscopy.
