With the acceleration of global aging,osteosarcopenia has become a major health concern for the eld-erly.Characterized by the co-occurrence of sarcopenia and osteoporosis,this syndrome significantly increases the risk of falls and fractures,severely impacting the quality of life of the elderly and adding to social and economic burdens.This paper reviews the definition and epidemiological characteristics,pathophysiological mechanisms,risk factors,diagnosis and clinical outcomes,and integrated management strategies for osteosarcopenia,aiming to provide new perspectives for improving the health of the elderly.
