Characterization of Multi-Attitude Maritime Targets in Low Sea State
There are many kinds of maritime targets, the monolithic structure is complex, and the dynamic range of target characteristics is large, with strong time-varying nature.Starting from the target characteristics, characterizing the physical difference between the sea surface and the target is an effective way to solve the problem of maritime target de-tection.Under this background,an X-band radar is used to carry out multi-attitude maritime target data acquisition ex-periment.The spatio-temporal correlation of multi-attitude targets and the statistical characteristics are analysed in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain under low sea state. The difference coefficient is defined to ana-lyze the statistical characteristics of the difference. The validation of a large number of measured data shows that the spa-tio-temporal correlation and statistical features of the target and sea clutter have a large difference under low sea state, which is strongly separable;the difference coefficient of the same statistical feature between different attitude targets is between 0 and 0.1,which has a small difference and is not separable. These conclusions are of great significance for the maritime target characteristic data acquisition experiment and the optimized design of target recognition method.
