A New Bird Record in Jiangsu Province:Pelagic Cormorant(Phalacrocorax pelagicus)
As a second-class national protected wildlife,Pelagic Cormorant(Phalacrocorax pelagicus)is a typical seabird that mainly inhabits in the island or coastal zone.On December 13,2023,a juvenile Pelagic Cormorant was found in the Provincial Nature Reserve of Qidong Yangtze River Estuary(North Branch)Wetland,Nantong City of Jiangsu Province.It is confirmed as a new bird record in Jiangsu Province based on literature verification.
