Wang Meng found that Mencius will never yield when concerned with righteousness.As for the be-haviors of gentlemen,Mencius advocated honoring virtue and being delight in rightness,cultivating their charac-ters and establishing their heaven-ordained being,and helping others out of good will.Confucius understood what others said to know people while Mencius was for distinguishing friends from enemies.Mencius'high affir-mation of the moral subject and his praise of the subjective initiative of the gentleman had a profound impact on Chinese culture.In order to carry forward the truth and righteousness,Mencius put forward"invincible bene-volence"and"the true man".From the academic perspective,Mencius speculated that"People who do not be-lieve in Mohism must believe in Yangism.""People who do not believe in Yangism must believe in Confucia-nism.""People who do not believe in Mohism must believe in Confucianism".Good inheritance must be deve-loped and even broken through at the same time while good development and breakthrough must be fully inheri-ted.
