Study on the Chinese Character of"Cang(仓)"and Related Problems in Shuowenjiezi
On the basis of"Cang(仓)"in Shuowenjiezi,this paper discusses the intercharacter relationship between"Cang(仓)"and"Cang(苍)"by analyzing the interpretation of"Cang(仓)"by traditional philologists and ancient Chinese scholars.It is found that"Cang(仓)"is the original Chinese character and"cang(苍)"is differentiated from"cang(仓)"."Canghuang(仓黄)"has two meanings of"color"and"hurriedly".And it is believed that the meaning of"color"came into being before the meaning of"hurriedly",and after the Tang dynasty,it was mostly used to express the meaning of"hurriedly",while the meaning of"color"gradually disappeared.
