Effect of intermediate annealing on the microstructure and properties of cold rolled 5056 aluminum alloy sheet
The intermediate annealing process of cold rolling 5056 aluminum alloy was studied in this paper. The effects of annealing temperature on the microstructure and properties of cold rolling 5056 aluminum alloy sheet were analyzed by means of optical mi-croscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction, hardness, tensile and compression. The results show that the 5056 aluminum alloy sheet with 60%~80%deformation has low plasticity due to deformation strengthening, and the intermediate annealing treatment at 250℃,350℃,400℃,450℃and 500℃respectively,the elongation increases gradually with the annealing tempera-ture,while the strength and hardness decrease. When the annealing temperature is higher than 350℃,the strength and elongation of 5056 aluminum alloy sheet do not change significantly with the increase of annealing temperature, but the work hardening rate has a significant difference, and the work hardening rate of 5056 aluminum alloy plate decreases by 65%at 450℃annealing temperature.
