Finite Element Simulation and Parameter Optimization of EL4176 Aluminium Profile Extrusion
In this paper, the finite element simulation analysis of the extrusion process of 2B25 aluminium alloy EL4176 profile was car-ried out to reveal the stress-strain distribution and metal flow characteristics. The influences of preheating temperature and extrusion speed on metal damage, forming force and die stress distribution were studied. The results show that the maximum damage value de-creases with increasing temperature when the preheating temperature ranges from 400℃ to 460℃,and further increases with increas-ing temperature when the temperature exceeds 480℃.The maximum damage value increases with the increase of extrusion speed, and with the increase of extrusion speed, the maximum equivalent stress on the die increases gradually. In summary, considering the ex-trusion efficiency and the forming load of the equipment, the optimal process parameter combination of the extrusion material is as fol-lows:bar preheating temperature 420~460℃,extrusion speed 0.4~0.6 m/min.
