Optimization of Forming Process of a Certain Type I-shaped Die Forging of Aluminium Alloy Based on DEFORM-3D
Aiming at the partail draining of a certain type I-shaped die forging and combining with the DEFORM-3D simulation software,the study of metal flow line and flow line defect,the effective measures to avoid the partail draining were put forward.Ac-cording to the actual production,three billet optimization schemes were proposed by using DEFORM-3D simulation software.Con-sidering the difficulty and cost of billet production,billet optimization scheme 2 was selected for trial production.However,the sample analysis results show that although the partail draining of the trial forging has been improved to a certain extent,it still can not meet the needs of customers.The pre-forging design was further carried out.The appropriate design scheme was determined and the trial pro-duction was carried out.The sample analysis results show that the macrostructure is uniform,the metal flow line distribution is reason-able,and no partial draining is found.The die forging quality can meet customers'demand.
