Effect of Mechanical Surface Treatment on the Bonding Properties of Liquid-Solid Cast-Rolled 1070A/7075 Composite Sheets
The effects of mechanical surface treatment direction on the morphology of 7075 aluminium alloy sheets and the bonding properties of 1070A/7075 composite sheets were investigated by means of laser confocal scanning microscopy(LSCM),scanning elec-tron microscopy(SEM),energy spectrometry(EDS)and other testing instruments,as well as by pulling and shearing experiments. The results show that the roughness of the solid substrate mechanically polished parallel to the direction of casting and rolling(9.3 μm)is higher than that of the sheet polished perpendicular to the direction of casting and rolling(8.5 μm),and there is no oxide found at the interface of the composite sheet, and the bonding strength of composite sheet is 54.7 MPa.In the preparation of the sheet by liquid-solid casting and rolling, the direction of parallel to the direction of casting and rolling should be chosen to mechanically polished on the solid substrate.
