Effect of Heat Treatment System on Electrical Conductivity and Hardness of 6082-T6 Aluminium Alloy Extruded Rod
The Brinell hardness and conductivity of 6082 aluminium alloy extruding bar were analyzed under different chemical com-position,homogenization system, solution temperature and ageing system by using digital display small-load Brinell hardness tester HBS-62.5,digital metal conductivity tester, scanning electron microscope and digital material microscope. The results show that:The lower the element mass fraction of Fe and free Si,the higher the homogenization temperature, the longer the homogenization time and the higher the bar conductivity; The higher the solution temperature, the lower the conductivity and the higher the hardness after ageing. In order to obtain the best comprehensive performance, the Fe element mass fraction is controlled below 0.15%,the Si ele-ment mass fraction is controlled according to the lower limit of the national standard, and the homogenization process of 560℃×12 h is adopted. The solution temperature is controlled at 520~540℃.Then the ageing process is carried out.A single stage ageing system of 175℃×12 h can make the hardness of the bar reach 100.8 HBW and the conductivity reach 28.5 MS/m;the two stage ageing sys-tem of 170℃×2 h+220℃×1 h can make the hardness of the bar reach 100.2 HBW and the conductivity reach 28.4 MS/m.The two stage ageing system is a ageing system worth recommending.
