Treatment Design of a Highway Spoil Area and Its Stability Analysis
In relation to a new spoil area built for a highway in the southwest region, which the spoil area is channel type with the protection level Ⅱ with the stacking height of 35.00 m,the drainage system of spoil area was designed and checked in order to verify the reasonability and security of flood discharge by river channel after the spoil area was built. The overall stability analysis was also carried out.The results show that the drainage ditch of spoil area has the size meeting the requirement of flow capacity for once-a-century flood with 0.66 m free board at least. The overall slope of the internal spoil area is stable, and where it is in seismic condition, the slope is in the state of being understable to basically stable. There is a free face in 6.00 m high in front of the stack, the maximum residual thrust is 848.6 kN/m,and the design adopts anti-slide piles for supporting protection.
