Study on Mechanical Characteristics of Soft Soil in Coastal Plain of Coastal High-speed Railway
Based on the survey results from Shantou to Shanwei section of coastal high-speed railway, thousands of geotechnical test data were statistically analyzed to study the engineering geological characteristics of soft soil of different sedimentary origin, and the influence of soft soil on engineering construction was analyzed in combination with actual engineering. The results show that the soft soil of coastal sedimentary facies, lagoon facies and delta alluvial facies has a water content of about 40%—60%,a pore ratio greater than 1.2 and a compression coefficient greater than 0.5,and a loose and weak structure, belonging to high compressibility soil. The alluvial facies soft soil in Rongjiang Delta is divided into two layers, formed in two tidal sedimentary cycles, and the bearing capacity characteristic values are 60,80 kPa respectively.Earthquake subsidence of soft soil should be considered for two layers of silt soil.Delta sedimentary facies silty sand layer is laminated with silt or silt soil, belongs to layered structural soil. Its mechanical properties are transverse-isotropic.It is better to treat the foundation with sand well or plastic plate.
