Study on Mechanical Strength of Saline Frozen Soil on a Plateau Highway
Based on the low temperature GDS triaxial test with control temperature, salt content and water content, the influence of temperature, salt content and water content on the dynamic and static strength of permafrost on the Plateau is studied. The result shows that the cohesive force and internal friction angle of frozen salt-bearing fine sand increase with the decrease of temperature, and the shear strength increases linearly with the increase of confining pressure in the low confining pressure range. The shear strength decreases with the decrease of temperature. The failure vibration of frozen salt-bearing fine sand under dynamic load decreases with the increase of dynamic load. The effect of temperature on the dynamic strength of frozen salt-bearing fine sand shows the lower the temperature, the greater the ice content, the lower the free water content and the higher the dynamic strength.
