On Influence of Pile Spacing on Stress and Deformation of Pile Plate Structure
Relying on the rerouting project of the section affected by the Bailai Water Conservancy Project on the re-built Zhangping-Quanzhou-Xiaocuo Railway, the impact of pile spacing(equivalent pile diameter d)on the positive and negative bending moments and deformations in the railway pile plate structure of underpass bridges was studied using SAP2000 software and compared with specifications. The results showed that when the transverse pile spacing remains unchanged,as the longitudinal pile spacing increases, the positive and negative bending moments in the plate and the vertical deformation of the pile top increase linearly, and the maximum negative bending moment in the plate appears at the pile top in the center of the plate. The maximum positive bending moment in the plate gradually shifts from the transverse piles to the longitudinal piles. When the longitudinal pile spacing is between 4d and 5d,the positive and negative bending moments at each point in the plate and the vertical deformation at each node are relatively small and roughly equivalent, proving the rationality of the pile spacing provisions in the specifications. When the longitudinal pile spacing exceeds 9d,the positive bending moment at the bottom of the plate is larger, and reinforcement design is required.
