Analysis of Passive Bearing Mechanism of Helical Pile under Lateral Soil Movement
Based on the simplified numerical analysis model proposed in the hybrid method for slope anti-slide pile design,multi-blade helical pile and straight shaft pile with the same length were taken as the control group,the distribution features of the internal force(bending moment,shearing force and axial force)along the pile under different lateral soil displacement were compared so as to study the deformation of the helical pile body and the deformation characteristics of the helical blades at different positions,and then to analyze the bearing mechanism of the helical pile as passive pile.The result shows that:under the action of lateral displacement of soil,the helical pile has basically the same distribution characteristics of internal force as straight shaft pile,but larger peak value of internal force than straight shaft pile;the helical blades play different roles according to their position in the course of passive bearing as follows:the blades near the pile top and bottom mainly contribute to the axial force,and the blade in the middle to the bending moment and shearing force.
