Based on unstable slopes in a smart eco-city in the southwest,a numerical model was established using F1AC3D finite element software to compare the differences in calculation results between local strength reduction method and overall strength reduction method and the influence of different reinforcement methods on slope stability was studied. The calculation results show that the safety factor and deformation of slopes with weak structural layers are mainly controlled by the weak structural layers. The local strength reduction method is more suitable for the stability study of slope with weak structural layer. The slope example in this paper is stable in natural state, and there is landslide risk in rainstorm state; After the fifth grade slope and the vertical slope are strengthened by"anchor rod+frame beam"and"anti-slide pile+prestressed anchor cable"respectively, the stability of the slope in rainstorm is greatly improved.
