Analysis on Protection Benefit of High Vertical Large Grid Sand Barrier in Desert Highway
Based on the protection system of the desert section of Wuma Expressway, the Fluent Euler two-fluid high vertical large-grid sand barrier model was constructed to analyze the wind-sand flow field under different groups of high vertical large-grid sand barriers, and its wind-proof efficiency and effective protection distance were studied. The result shows that, the airflow velocity on the windward side of the high vertical large-grid sand barrier decreases rapidly, and begins to recover at the leeward side. The overall velocity is in a'V'shape distribution, and the wind speed reduction rate of the double group is greater than 100%,which is conducive to the accumulation of sand and the backflow effect. The shape of sand accumulation is a right-angle triangle distribution. The sand accumulation range of the double group is wider, and there is no obvious sand accumulation after the sand barrier, which blocks the near-surface wind-sand flow to the greatest extent. The protection efficiency of the double group is 1.07 times that of the single group, and the protection distance of the double group is 1.33 times that of the single group. The protection benefit of the large-grid sand barrier is not only reflected in the sand blocking benefit, but also in the sand fixing benefit to a certain extent.
