Genome-wide Identification and Expression Analysis of Sucrose Uptake Transporter Genes in Pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)
Sucrose Uptake Transporters(SUT),which regulate the transportation and distribution of sucrose, play a vital role in the development and osmotic stress in plant. To explore the functions of CaSUTs family genes in pepper, four sucrose transporter genes were identified from pepper genome using the BLAST P program. The structures, phylogenetic relationships and expression patterns of CaSUTs were analyzed using the bioinformatic methods. The molecular weights of CaSUTs protein were between 12.47~65.56 kDa with the theoretical isoelectric points ranging from 6.00 and 9.32,and all of which were located on the cell membrane.According to phylogeny among pepper, tomato and Arabidopsis,SUTs proteins were divided into four evolutionary branches.Expression profile analysis in pepper showed that CaSUTs genes were expressed in different tissues and treatments, indicating that CaSUTs are tissue specific and play an important role in hormone and stress treatments. The qPCR analysis of pepper line'XWHJ-M'showed that CaSUTs were significantly induced by low temperature and salt stress, and members of CaSUTs gene family may play a role in response to abiotic stress.
