In order to screen out processing pepper varieties suitable for planting in the Bayannur area,four pepper varieties including Huohe 2001,Beixing 6,R05,and Tianfu Hong 1 were introduced for cultivation trials by using the local mainly cultivated variety Hexing 903 as the control.The results showed that the fruit of Huohe 2001 had high spiciness,with the highest color value of 14.3%,the highest proportion of red fruits of 84.01%,the proportion of green fruits of 11.76%,and the proportion of diseased fruits of 4.23%.The fresh pepper yield of Huohe 2001 was high 1840.83 kg/667 m2,and the dry pepper yield with a moisture content of 20%was 603.32 kg/667 m2.The results indicated that Huohe 2001 was suitable for planting in the Bayannur area.
