In order to enrich the types of Chinese cabbage sprouts,improve their quality and resistance,and achieve the goal of annual supply,a hybrid small Chinese cabbage sprout variety Qingyun 2 with good disease resistance,heat resistance,high yield,and high quality was bred in this study.Qingyun 2 is a new mid to late maturing Chinese cabbage variety developed from the male sterile line CMS y80-17 as the female parent and the inbred line BL17-2-2 as the male parent.It takes about 65 days from sowing to harvesting the main stem,and the entire growth period is about 110 days.The plant has a height of 50～55 cm and a spreading degree of 50～53 cm,with dark green outer leaves.The main bolt is sturdy,with a stem of 2.2～2.8 cm and an average single bolt weight of 90～135 g.There are several and uniformly germinated bolt stems,with 10～15 lateral stems and 1.7～1.9 cm of bolt stems,and an average single bolt weight of 80～95 g.The bolt flesh is relatively tight,without medullary cavities or white spots.The bolt leaves are green,small,and triangular in shape.The bolt leaf stalks are short,and the bolt shape is beautiful.This variety has good heat resistance,strong disease resistance to downy mildew and soft rot,and has a yield of 1 800～2 200 kg/667 m2.It is suitable for open filed planting in autumn and winter in Hunan Province and the areas with the similar ecological climate.
