Abstract
Virginia Woolf's"Music-Fiction"focuses how music and fiction coexist in one work and inter-medial reference,which has subversive breakthrough significance.The core ideas of Woolf's"Music-Fiction"are writing ac-cording to a rhythm not to a plot,equal emphasis on form and meaning and unique musical narrative style,which are formed through integrating music concept,music elements and music structure.The relationship between music and characters forms the theme of the novel in The Voyage Out,Night and Day,and Jacob's Room.Besides,Woolf engages herself as the conductor of the symphony orchestra,and experiments the creative techniques of word music,theme penetration,counterpoint,fugue and sonata,which makes musicality embodied in To the Lighthouse and The Waves.
