In 1942,the Health Special Issue was set up in the Anti-Japanese War Daily to actively promote public opinion and disseminate scientific knowledge in the face of the"bacteriological warfare"launched by Japanese ar-my.It not only exposed the dangers of infectious diseases such as plague,cholera,typhoid fever,and malaria that may be caused by the enemy's so-called"poisonous epidemic offensive campaign",but also introduced various prevention and control measures in detail.It also advocated public health and personal hygiene from the perspective of the coordinated action of the military,government,and people in the entire base area,emphasizing correspond-ing sanitation renovation and social management,thus achieving a communicative effect of building a health and wellness community within a certain time and space.By reading this batch of early literature and related historical texts on health and hygiene,it can help us deeply appreciate the health concept,hygiene concept,practice con-cept,scientific spirit,and internationalist spirit contained therein,sort out the origin of the people's health and epidemic prevention ideas,and help us deeply think about how to build a global community of health for all,to tru-ly realize the idea that"Only a healthy body can lead to a healthier spirit".
