On the Reflection of the Essential Relationship with People--A Discussion on the Needs for a Better Life in the New Era
The issue of the relationship between needs and human nature is an important question in Marxist philosophy.The essential power of humans is confirmed through their productive practice to satisfy needs,and in this process,it generates the reality of human essence-"the sum total of so-cial relations".As material production becomes increasingly abundant,there emerges a"falsification"and"distortion"of needs during the process of enjoy-ing material wealth,causing needs to lose their richness and comprehensive-ness.Needs are no longer the premise for human development but instead be-come an alien force hindering human progress.Therefore,it is necessary to reject alienation of needs,redirecting them towards genuine ones so that indi-viduals can be liberated from a state of enslavement and achieve self-develop-ment.A good life requires adhering to the value scale based on genuine needs;it represents a new form in this new era where satisfying people's as-pirations for a better life aligns with realizing their comprehensive possession over their own essence.
