Technological Anthropology and Its Illumination--An Entrance to Stiegler's Philosophy of Technology
Technological anthropology is an important gateway to understanding Stiegler's philosophy of technology.It possesses great potential and provides huge space for interpretation of critique of technology,to which Stiegler has paid extraordinary attention.Technological anthropology not only appears at the beginning of the text of Technics and Time,but also constitutes the deep foundation of Stiegler's technological philosophy.Bertrand Gille's concept of tech-nical system,André Leroi-Gourhan's concept of technical tendency,and Gilbert Simondon's concept of technical object have a significantly influenced the devel-opment of Stiegler's critical thinking on technology.Revealing the close correla-tion between Stiegler's thought and technological anthropology will be conducive to further interpret Stiegler's philosophy of technology concretely and deeply.
