How Vocational Colleges Serve a Strong Smart Manufacturing City of Quanzhou by Integrating Industry With Education
Vocational colleges in Quanzhou City are engaged in the integration between industry and education with the objective of fostering the development of a strong smart manufacturing(hereafter SSM)city.Howev-er,several challenges remain.Firstly,the operational framework for the government-led integration lacks optimal efficacy.Secondly,the contribution of vocational colleges to the development of a smart manufacturing city is limited.Thirdly,enterprises are reluctant to advance the integration.Finally,the establishment of a pilot city for the integration between industry and education is still in its nascent stage.It is recommended that the integration between industry and education in Quanzhou City should be carried out in four aspects,name-ly,advancing the modernization of the vocational education system in Quanzhou City,strengthening the serv-ice capacity of vocational schools,motivating enterprises to participate,and refining the policy framework to provide greater support for the integration between industry and education.
