As a representative of the new Confucian school,Xu Fuguan,based on Confucianism and Taoism and Chinese classical poetry and painting works,formed a unique Chinese style and style of hermeneutics by combi-ning the practical experience of Chinese classical hermeneutics and Western discourse theory.He proposed that the interpretation of literary and artistic works should achieve the integration of the artistic spirit between the subject and the object in the way of"pursue experience".He also used the concepts of"eliminating all thoughts and de-sires"and"ascertained by both sides"to solve the problems of relativism and compulsory interpretation in the process of interpretation.His dialectical hermeneutics methodology has opened up new ideas and realms for the con-struction of Chinese hermeneutics.
