Changes of People's Diet Structure of Western Xia Regime(1038-1227):A Perspective of History of Its Contact,Communication and Integration with Other Ethnics
The period of the Liao,Song,Weslern Xia and Jin dymasties are a transitional period from local confrontation to unification in Chinese history.During this period,the cultural exchanges among ethnic groups did not stagnate due to the confrontation of national regimes.Before the founding of the regime,meat and milk were main food of the Dangxiang people in the Western Xia Regime;after the establishment of the regime,the original single diet structure of them gradually changed,foming a diversified diet stucture mixed with the characteristics of the Dangxiang,Han,Tibetan,Uighur and other ethnic groups.The rich and colorful diet of the Western Xia Re-gime is the result of ethnic contact,communication and integration.
