Xu Fang is an outstanding writer in the early Qing Dynasty as an adherent of the Ming Dynasty,but his life has not been well known.Based on Adherent Writer Xu Fang in the Early Qing Dynasty:Year of His Birth and Death and Related Issues,the author of this paper draws Xu Fang's chronology according to Xuanta Bian(悬榻编),Cangshangao Waibian(藏山稿外编)as well as the lost writings and the records of his friends scat-tered in various documents such as local chronicles.
