Under the background of accelerating international economic and cultural integration and increasing-ly frequent international exchanges,British and American literature education in colleges and universities should not only cultivate students'British and American literature knowledge and skills,but also cultivate their Chinese cul-tural consciousness,self-confidence and cross-cultural communication ability.Therefore,it is necessary and feasible to integrate Chinese cultural elements into British and American literature education.In integrating Chinese culture into British and American literature education,we should adhere to cultural self-confidence,improve cul-tural critical thinking ability,explore and construct a two-way education model of Chinese and Western intertextu-ality,and cultivate foreign language talents with both Chinese feelings and international vision.
