Integration of"Golden Spike"into Geology Course Teaching:Value and Strategy
China has the second largest number of"Golden Spike"in the world.As a significant research a-chievement in geosciences,"Golden Spike"can provide rich materials for the teaching of geology courses for geog-raphy majors in colleges and universities.The connotation,characteristics,requirements and definition of"Golden Spike"are closely related to the geology courses.The integration of"Golden Spike"into the teaching of geology courses is of great significance to enhance college students'political recognition of the Party's leadership in geo-science research,improve the level,innovation and challenge of the content of the course,and cultivate the sense of mission and responsibility of college students in the new era.In order to integrate the"Golden Spike"into the teaching of geology course,it is necessary to clarify the objectives,clarify the ideas and methods,delineate the key points and innovate the evaluation methods,so as to improve the knowledge,ideology and effectiveness of the teaching of geology courses.
