An Analysis of Korean Women's Magazine Women in Early 1920s
In the 1920s,"women"became the focus of the society in the expanding Korean public opinion space,and many women-related magazines including Women appeared.By recording the necessary knowledge of women's life,the magazine tries to attract more grassroots women in Korea with diversified themes,so as to a-chieve the grand goal of liberating 10 million Korean women.However,due to various drawbacks,it changed the audience group and was renamed as New Women.This change is not only the survival process of the magazine it-self,but also the transformation process of the female view of the male intellectuals who are committed to the publi-cation of the magazine and the gradual acceptance of new women in Korean society.Starting with the background of the publication of Woman,the author of this paper studies the content and the development of the magazine,in or-der to understand the popular view of women in Korean society at that time.
