The Responsibility of Universities in the Construction of Learning Society and Learning Country——Enlightenment from the Lifelong Education Institutes Affiliated to the Universities in South Korea
As the highest institution for exploring science,and innovating academic research and inheriting culture in human society,what responsibilities should universities and colleges undertake in the construction of a"learning society and a learning country"?Through research on the literature related to lifelong education in South Korea,the paper systematically introduces the development of lifelong education institutions affiliated to universities in South Korea.Combining with the current contributions and shortcomings of Chinese universities in providing lifelong education for all,the paper puts forward some constructive suggestions as follows,promoting lifelong education legislation and supporting policy development;taking developing the continuing education,serving a learning society,and building a learning country as the responsibilities of universities;strengthening research and practice on building a learning society and a learning country,and establishing a national and professional continuing education workforce;accelerating the process of digital education construction,promoting the opening to and sharing with society the high-quality resources and services in universities;speeding up the construction of the national qualification framework and the"credit bank"system,and building a lifelong learning overpass and so on.
