Variation characteristics and influencing factors of soft soil’s coefficient of secondary consolidation in Shanghai area
In order to predict soft soil’s secondary consolidation settlement, this study takes the soil samples at South Qilianshan subway station to conduct triaxial apparatus test and analyzes the variation features and several influencing factors of the coefficients of secondary consolidation. The study investigates how distinct soil indicators and load conditions influence the coefficients. The result shows that different soil indicators lead to different coefficients regardless load conditions. Therefore, the soil indicator playes a leading role in the influence on the coefficients of secondary cosolidation. Furthermore, different load conditions can also generate different coefficients, however, this impact has a relationship with the locations of soil layers. For deep layers and lower compressibility layers, this impact may be ignored. Therefore, it concludes that the load factor takes a supplimentary role.
