Taking the disposal of joints in the expressway pavement maintenance in Liaoning province as the research object,the necessity of disposal of joints in the new and old pavement is analyzed.Taking the maintenance project of local road sections in Liaoning province in 2023 as an example,the technical scheme for the edge banding adhesive of modified asphalt is put forward.The result shows that,the use of the edge banding adhesive of modified asphalt can effectively prevent water seepage of joints,strengthen the adhesion of new and old pavement,and ensure the smooth connection of new and old pavement.
