Risk Factors Analysis of Cerebral Microbleeds in Different Regions on Middle-aged and Elderly People
Objective:To study the relevant risk factors of cerebral microbleeds(CMBs)in different parts of mid-dle-aged and elderly patients. Methods:A total of 669 hospitalized patients from Jan 2022 to May 2023 were collected through the medical big data platform of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. They were first divid-ed into a CMBs positive group(123 cases)and a CMBs negative group(546 cases). Then, the CMBs positive group was subdivided into three subgroups:lobar only, deep only, and extensive one and perform univariate analysis by com-paring medical history data and laboratory tests results between any CMBs positive subgroup and CMBs negative group. Then,a logistic regression model was used to analyze the independent risk factors of each subgroup of cerebral micro-bleeds.Results:In the univariate analysis, some alternative risk factors were selected and included in the logistic regres-sion analysis. The results showed that alcohol consumption,hypertension,MCV,HbA1C,and Hb were independent risk factors for CMBs,which varied among different subgroups. Conclusion:There are many risk factors related to CMBs,and they vary depending on the distribution location.Abstinence from alcohol, controlling blood pressure, and controlling sugar may have important preventive and therapeutic value for CMBs.
