A Study on the Application Effect of Empowerment Education Combined with Low-Fre-quency Pulse Electrotherapy in Functional Reconstruction of Neurogenic Bladder
Objective:To explore the application effect of empowerment education combined with low-frequency pulse electrotherapy in the functional reconstruction of neurogenic bladder.Methods:From January 2022 to March 2024,57 patients with neurogenic bladder hospitalized at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College were selected.Among them,patients in Ward Ⅰ of Urology served as the control group,receiving routine tradi-tional nursing methods;patients in Ward Ⅱ of Urology served as the experimental group,adopting rehabilitation nursing measures such as empowerment education combined with low-frequency pulse electrotherapy on the basis of the control group's nursing.The bladder function recovery effects were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the residual urine volume in the experimental group significantly decreased(P<0.05);the urination volume in the ex-perimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The experimental group had signifi-cantly higher urine volume than the control group(P<0.05),and it was more effective in reducing patient anxiety(P<0.05).Both conventional nursing models and the novel,scientifically grounded nursing rehabilitation measures incorpo-rating empowerment education contributed to the improvement of patients'urinary flow rates.Conclusion:Empowerment education combined with low-frequency pulse electrotherapy can effectively promote the functional reconstruction of neu-rogenic bladder patients,improve voiding dysfunction,alleviate anxiety,and enhance their quality of life.
