The dual logic of international Chinese grammar exercises:objectives and methods
The objectives and methods of exercise are two core issues for the exercise,and international Chi-nese grammar exercise is no exception.Among them,"objective"is at the theoretical level,and"method"is at the technical level,both of which have an inherent logical relationship.The article points out that four pairs of relationships should be focused on for the objectives of grammar exercises:the relationship be-tween course types and exercise methods,the relationship between grammar knowledge and grammar skills,the relationship between grammatical difficulties and general knowledge points and the relationship between interestingness and scientificity.The methods for grammar exercises should deal with four pairs of relationships:the relationship between language level and the type of exercise,the relationship between the effectiveness of exercises and the number of exercises,the relationship between exercise universality and pertinence and the relationship between form,meaning and use.The eight pairs of relationships pro-posed provide international Chinese teachers with macro-guidance in the compilation of textbook grammar exercises and the design of daily exercises,which is conducive to the smooth development of grammar teaching and helps students improve their language communication skills.
