The number of skull plate ornaments unearthed in the Xinglongwa culture is small, but they are often unearthed in the position of the tomb owner and the particularity of the material used shows that the skull plate ornaments are closely related to ancestor worship, and it is one of the indispensable artifacts in primitive religious activities. The three headgears represent the three systems of human face ornaments, arm ornaments and sacrificial ritual. With the demise of the Hongshan culture, the sacrificial ritual has gradually lost its original function and disappeared.Human face ornaments and arm ornaments entered the Central Plains in the cultural exchanges between the western Liaoning region and the Central Plains, and developed into bronze human face statues and bronze animal face ornaments. In the Shang and Zhou dynas-ties,the bronze human face statues further affected Sichuan,Shaanxi and other regions, making a number of human face figures with local characteristics appear locally. In the Han Dynasty,as the mask and ritual surface in the hundred operas continued to spread, the function of the funeral mask derived, which was al-so found in the tombs of the Liao Dynasty. The development context of arm decoration and human face decoration is basically the same, and its function in the Shang and Zhou dynasties has been retained, which is used as a ceremonial tool to highlight its status and has a certain relationship with religious sacrificial ac-tivities.In the Qin and Han dynasties, the arm decoration developed, paying more attention to practical functions, and was widely spread. However, its initial role did not disappear. As for the Liao Dynasty,we can still see the ceremonial arm ornaments used to highlight the status.
