The influence of word segmentation on Chinese reading of Tibetan-Chinese readers:the moderating effect of language level
One experiment was carried out on 40 Tibetan undergraduate students for the present study. The eye movements were recorded by using an SR Research EyeLink 1000 Plus eye tracker during reading and the reading materials are Chinese sentences. There were four spacing conditions, including the normal uns-paced condition, single character spaced condition, word spaced condition, and nonword spaced condition. The experimental results show that the interword space played a certain role in promoting Tibetan-Chinese readers'Chinese reading, and the eye movement patterns of Tibetan-Chinese readers with different Chinese level are different.
