Sun Li's novel creation before and after the founding of the People's Republic of China faced challenges of self transformation and style adjustment.He attempted to break the moral aesthetic writing model formed in his early creations,but encountered difficulties in realistic writing:lyrical style adjust-ment,character shaping,and novel writing,as well as criticism from critical discourse.Sun Li's creative bottleneck stems from both himself and the times.His weak personality and insufficient literary prepara-tion limited the development of literary ambition.The changes in the literary system after the founding of the People's Republic of China put enormous evaluation pressure on his writing,and the deepening of his creation and personal growth became difficult problems.
