The interpretation of Mourning Clothes in the Qing Dynasty was in a heyday of development,and some scholars of the Zhang Yang Zhu School played an irreplaceable cultural role in the interpretation of attire.Jiang Zhaoxi's book Yili Jing Zhuan Waibian is one of them.In the choice of interpretation style,it combines the dual characteristics of collective compilation and graph disintegration.In the explanatory notes section,Jiang Zhaoxi provides personalized explanatory notes by replying to the ritual examples in the Etiquette and Mourning Clothes chapter,revealing the correlation between different sources of ritual texts,interpreting the exact meaning of ritual texts,correcting various errors in the dissemination of ritual texts and playing an important guiding role.In addition,influenced by the Comprehensive Interpretation of the Book of Rites and Continuation of the Comprehensive Interpretation of the Book of Rites,Jiang Zhaoxi also attached great importance to supplementing and illustrating the scriptures in the Mourning Clothes section,expanding the practical function of interpretation and playing an irreplaceable role in the reconstruction of ritual culture during the Kangxi and Qianlong periods.
