Elegance,richness and harmonious Rhythm——New exploration and addendum on Ling Tingkan's Mei Bian Chui Di Pu
Ling Tingkan's Mei Bian Chui Di Pu was mainly written by the poet after the age of fifteen and before the age of forty-four,between 1771-1800 AD.In the sixth year of the Daoguang reign(1826),it was printed by his disciple Zhang Qijin.Mei Bian Chui Di Pu is rich in content,involving many aspects such as free answers,recording and expressing emotions and reciting history.It has distinctive characteris-tics,possessing the artistic features of elegance,richness and harmonious rhythm.Mei Bian Chui Di Pu has both rich literary criticism value and historical research value.The former is reflected in the preface and main text of the lyrics,showcasing Ling Tingkan's literary criticism ideas,while the latter reflects Ling Tingkan's life and social interactions,which can complement Zhang Qijin's Chronology of Mr.Ling Cizhong.Ling Tingkan's Ci works are still scattered and lost,but four of them have been compiled today,which are of great value.
